Anacron
MC, DJ, Producer, Breaker/Popper
Anacron is a multi-faceted entertainer. Born in LA, he moved to Chicago in the early 90’s and made an impact on the hip-hop scene before heading back west. As a member of the LA Breakers, he was a prominent breakdancer before moving to the midwest. Once here, he eventually became a member of one of the most notable crews in Chicago, the Brickheadz. As an emcee, he’s one of the most prolific artists in hip-hop and has released upwards of 30 projects to date, including the Netherworlds’ Pals album (a group consisting of Murs, Anacron and Himself) released through Chicago independent label Galapagos4 in 2001. Anacron was also a staple of the poetry scene and hosted several nights including Mental Graffiti and Dandelion Patch.
