Do or Die
Belo Zero (MC), AK (MC)

Originally a dance crew in the late eighties, Do or Die (the trio of Belo Zero, AK and N.A.R.D.) turned to music in the early nineties, working with DJ Funk, and would become an integral piece to Chicago hip-hop’s westside movement. Their first single, “Po Pimp” featuring Twista and produced by The Legendary Traxster, pushed them into the national spotlight reaching #22 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1996. They followed with the release of their Gold-certified debut album, Picture This, that fall on Houston’s Rap-A-Lot Records. Their second album, 1998’s Headz or Tailz, also went Gold and over the course of 20 years and seven releases, they’ve sold a combined 3 million albums.
