DaWreck makes up one-third of the westside group Triple Darkness. Following in the footsteps of Chicago’s westside pioneers such as Twista, Do or Die and Crucial Conflict, Triple Darkness made a name for themselves early after the releases of The Cold Blooded E.P. in 1999 and Comin Up From Da Darkness the following year. Not only is he the lead emcee for the group, he’s also their main beatmaker and has gone on to have a successful solo career as both a rapper and producer. He has worked with a number of artists, both in Chicago and abroad, including Twista, The Legendary Traxster, Psychodrama, GLC, Crooked I and more and won the 2014 Hip-Hop Artist of the Year for the Chicago Independent Music Awards. He’s also dabbled in acting, appearing in films like Trust None and Barber Shop 2.
