A-Villa
Producer
Inspired by Hip Hop’s Golden Era, A-Villa began making beats in 2010 and has fast become a go-to producer in Chicago’s talent-filled Hip Hop scene. From making beats out of his home studio, to winning numerous beat battles/producer competitions, this bank vice president-turned-music producer has already amassed an impressive resume of production work with a “who’s who” list of legendary and popular artists. Artists such as Action Bronson, Big K.R.I.T., Killer Mike, Freddie Gibbs, Chance The Rapper, AZ, Noreaga, Kool G Rap, Freeway, Elzhi, Roc Marciano, Joe Budden, Inspectah Deck, Cormega, Sean Price, and many more have blessed A-Villa’s hard hitting, soulful, and sample-driven soundscapes. Also noteworthy is his production credit on Tony Touch’s The Piecemaker 3: Return of the 50 MC’s album via the song “Power Cypha”. A-Villa has also been featured on national websites, media publications, and radio outlets such as Noisey/Vice, Complex Magazine, XXL, Vibe, Rap Radar, NahRight, Okaypayer, Mass Appeal, 2DopeBoyz, HipHopDX, FakeShoreDrive, Chicago Reader, Shade45, HipHopNation, Hot97, and many others. In addition, he was chosen by The Source Magazine to produce their first “Masters of Ceremony” video cipher in December of 2013. And in 2014, A-Villa had a breakthrough year that began with him starting his own indie label & production company Villafied Music. He then partnered with the Chicago-based indie label Closed Sessions to release his highly anticipated and star-studded debut album Carry On Tradition via digital, CD, and vinyl formats. The album received both commercial success and critical acclaim in the United States and abroad, with the Chicago Tribune calling it the “2nd best Chicago indie album of 2014”. As a result, more top artists have reached out to A-Villa for production on their own upcoming projects. So be on the lookout for more new music from A-Villa in the near future, including the release of an instrumental project and a follow-up producer album in the Fall of 2015.
